I started to learn how to break after watching Quest Crew amaze the crowd on America's Best Dance Crew in 2009. Shortly after learning some basics on YouTube, I was introduced to my cousins' friends who taught me. After a few months of training, they drove me to my first jam (breaking event), and after that it was a wrap. I was hooked.

Since then, I started my own crew, Mystical Space Typhoon, in 2017. I've traveled and competed up and down the east coast, taking titles in footwork competitions, crew battles, and 1-on-1s. Throughout my time learning the dance and the culture, I've always made it a goal to give back. I've taught in schools, colleges, local organizations, and studios ranging from young kids to adults. Showing up for my community, to me, also is embodied in the events that I've organized. Throughout my years in the dance, I've organized 8 events that have included local vendors, brands, and talent from all across the country. "Each one, teach one" is a value of our dance, meaning that whatever we learn, we must pass on.

Today, my goal is to inspire and bring the next generation of breakers in Richmond, VA. I currently teach at Richmond Urban Dance every Tuesday from 6-7 pm and I also teach privates. I continue to throw events as well as continue to push my craft by competing in competitions.
